What Does It Mean to Be an Entrepreneur?
It means you are the leader of a company or any kind of organisation that has a unique product or service and has trained and developed the best people to make that product or service. You have to be highly motivated and driven to not only see your company grow in size, but also to see it grow in dynamism as well. In essence, you must be the epitome of what being an entrepreneur is all about. Many people believe being the founder is a very exciting position to hold, however, many others would simply say that it is a lot of hard work.
Entrepreneurs can also be a vice president, general manager, or even CEO. A vice president would have to handle day to day operations while the CEO would be involved in strategic planning, financial issues, and other things pertaining to running a large company. So, if you want to be seen as an entrepreneur, you would have to prove yourself over again that you can handle these different aspects of entrepreneurship. Therefore, an entrepreneur must understand that they are in fact the leaders of the company from day one until the company becomes large enough to outsource everything. An entrepreneur must have the ability to think outside of the box. They must be able to see problems that others may not see, and they must be able to find creative solutions to those problems. Most importantly, an entrepreneur must be willing to take risks. The only way for a new business to go anywhere is for the owner to take a risk.
