Today we want to talk about comparing Sixthreezero beach cruiser bikes with Schwinn beach cruiser bikes. So here we have discussed some top points of these two cruiser bikes comparison.
Table of Contents
ToggleNow Schwinn’s obviously been making beach cruisers for a long time. They have a great selection. Schwinn beach cruisers are kind of known as the original beach cruiser.
So, I want to talk to you about how to Sixthreezeo compared to Schwinn. I’m going to try to do an article and as non-biased as possible.
So, Schwinn has obviously it’s been around for a long time, a hundred-plus year. They’ve kind of evolved over time and Schwinn used to be the pinnacle of bikes back in the day.
And now, you know, they’ve kind of morphed into being a hybrid of high-end bikes and also mass-market bikes.
So a big difference between Sixthreezero and Schwinn. Number one is the price point. Sixthreezero starting price points are higher and the color palette is much broader.
So you see Schwinn’s to Walmart, Target, and Amazon, things like that and their price points on their cruisers, in particular, having to come way down.
You’ll see a typical Schwinn cruiser probably, you know, more than like around 150 or fewer dollars. Some can even dip below a hundred dollars depending.
But you know, so they’ve changed a lot over the years but they were like the company that kind of patented or originated the best beach cruiser bikes.
Back in the fifties balloon tires, Sixthreezeo is very popular. So, I’m fortunate to have jumped on the bandwagon that they’ve paved the way and cruisers have kind of evolved into these, you know, artistic, colorful, recreational, riding bikes that are really cool and usually more design-oriented than any other bike on the market.
So, Schwinn beach cruisers today, let’s talk about them. They’re really good for the low-end entry point bicycle. You’re going to see a lot of Schwinn beach cruisers out there.
The average ratings are going to be typically anywhere from two and a half stars up to about four stars. But I think more of their bikes are in the two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half-star range particularly on Amazon.
So, you know these are bikes that are going to cost about one hundred and twenty to a hundred and fifty.
Those ratings are about what you can expect for the type of components and specs they’re going to be using. So I think they are great bikes.
If you’re looking to spend $150 in less, my suggestion would be a Schwinn would be a great option. Now the downside with that price point is typically at that price point, you’re not going to get a huge selection of colors.
That’s a big difference between Sixthreezeo and a Schwinn. Sixthreezeo offers a lot of colors, a lot of different speeds for every model.
With Schwinn trying to keep prices low it’s most effective for them to choose one or two colors and keep production volume, high keeps costs, downs keep costs down, and things like that.
So if you’re more of a price-oriented shopper, I would definitely say, go with Schwinn. It’s a great option. Also, the name it’s classic and it speaks to us it’s Americana.
you know, so I have nothing bad to say about it I would say $150 range if you’re okay with that two and a half to three and a half Schwinn cruisers are a great option.
Now with that said, Schwinn also does offer an independent bike shop for beach cruisers. Now, these are going to be even more expensive. They’re a little bit more high-end.
I’d say it might be more money than you need to spend on a beach cruiser typically for the IBD models.
but you know, again it’s up to you if you like that name or if the bike speaks to you, I would say generally speaking on their cruisers there’s no competitive advantage for their higher-end models.
They look like most cruisers out there other than they do have the nostalgic feel of having the Schwinn name on it.
So, comparing those to Sixthreezeo cruisers we don’t really dip below a hundred we don’t dip below $150.
Sixthreezeo entry-level cruisers the around the block which currently at 199. Unfortunately, due to tariffs is going to have to bump up to 229 here pretty shortly.
but that’s the entry-level because we were focused on value and we want to build the best bike we can for as low as possible.
We’ve determined that price of about 229 to 199. Is the best we can do from the quality we want to stand behind to provide the value back to the customer.
Now, where we differ from Schwinn is you just look at our color selection. We use a much different palette, pastels, colors like that, and our speed options.
If you look at our women’s cruiser around the beach cruisers, you can get all of those at one speed. Three-speed, seven-speed, 21 speed.
I don’t think there’s any other cruiser company out there really doing a 21-speed cruiser.
The reason we did that is that we want the cruiser customer to be able to have the same gears that any other bike comes with if they want it.
Now the part is about customization. If you buy direct from Sixthreezero shop, they are going to allow you to customize it.
We’re going to build one-off bikes for whoever wants to do, and we’re going to change your bike rims and change bike tires.
We can change seat colors, basically anything. So, if you’re Sixthreezero website, just navigate to the top, you’re going to see links as a customizer, basically, any bike on the Sixthreezero website can be customized that way.
So big difference. We know that customization is important in the beach cruiser market. Companies like Schwinn also huffy way too big a volume to be doing that kind of one-off customization, different business model, keep prices down, things like that.
We’re all about the customer and letting people choose what they want to do. So, the difference between the beach cruisers.
With that said, the other thing was Sixthreezeros. We really focus on seats and comfort. So, I think personally, you’re going to find our seats to be more comfortable than Schwinn’s.
We use different foams, different sizes, different Springs that are going to make our cruisers way more comfortable, especially as you move up in price range.
If you go to the, in the barrel or the women’s cruisers, you’re going to see our seats the bucket saddle, the stitching, it looks really nice.
It’s all about comfort that’s my comparison of the two and I think both have a different set of customers. We are more in the customization selection, comfort side, again, entry price points, 199 to 290 for Schwinn, the more price-sensitive customer.
If you want the nostalgia and the look simpler reminds you of the classic timeless 50 styles, I’d say, go with the Schwinn for the $150 price.
Don’t forget, you can go to the top of it and then navigate to beach cruisers, shop, check them out, and enter your height and weight on the product page in our body fit tool.
It’s going to tell you if that bike fits, you’re going to get a thumbs up, thumbs down. If you get a thumbs down, you can contact us because we can try to customize a bike to fit your body.
And don’t forget Sixthreezero has a 365-day test ride policy. That means you can ride your bike 365 days. If it doesn’t fit, you don’t like it.
Any reason you can send it back. And we’ll take it back. No questions asked because our goal here at Sixthreezero is to make sure everybody loves their bike.
So, if you have a Schwinn or a Sixthreezeo comment below please do and we love to hear from you.
